Goldie’s second autobiography (following the premature Nine Lives) comes across like it’s been taken word for word from conversations with co-writer Ben Thompson, and is divided into eight “sides”.This is an attempt to reinvigorate interest in Goldie’s famously flawed four-disc’s worth of second album, Saturnz Return, and his similarly extended recent release The Journey Man also. ‘SaturnzReturn’ is Goldie’s 2nd album in the making, dropping in at 1998. Re-style this sentence to: 'Dropping in 1998, SaturnzReturn was Goldie's second LP'. Talking in the present tense for an album that's over 10 years old is a little strange.
Saturnz Return is the second studio album by Goldie, released on 27 January 1998.[11] The album was released after the adoption of drum and bass into popular culture, where movies and television commercials were produced with breakbeat drum programming rhythms. Saturnz Return reached as high as number 15 on the UK Albums Chart but received mixed reviews upon release, citing a lack of cohesion and a wealth of indulgences (the first disc alone contains the hour-long orchestral drum and bass song 'Mother', as well as an eight-minute hidden track of ambient piano and voice.)
